Glyph Whiskey is made by a molecular whiskey company in San Francisco. And they don’t do whiskey the old way – they use advanced technology to make an aged whiskey in one day! And they use natural ingredients as well, so you don’t have to worry about putting anything too out there in your body. Plus, this whiskey has won plenty of awards when it comes to taste, so you won’t regret picking up a bottle (or two).
3. Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
If you want some “Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of rum” feels, the Captain Morgan brand is your go-to. Although Captain Morgan has plenty of offerings already, we still like to go back to the classic Spiced Rum. It’s not too pricey, and is perfect with Coke and your other favorite mixes! And if you want to drink it by itself, you’ll enjoy the smooth, medium-bodied taste. Don’t forget to notice the subtle vanilla and caramel notes!
We’re sure you’ve tasted this classic. It is, after all, a popular liquor that a lot of rappers sing about. But if not, what are you waiting for? Don’t miss out on trying one of the best-tasting cognacs ever. While it comes in four variations, it also generally has a classic brandy taste, with some sweet fruitiness. Think of it as burnt wine accompanied by some oak. If you’re curious about the more subtle tastes, try looking for flowers, citrus, spice, vanilla, and chocolate when you’re drinking. You won’t be disappointed.
5. Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Jim Beam is one of the best-selling brands in the world, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that this drink is on this list. And this classic Kentucky bourbon has helped define what bourbons are. It has no additives and is also a great drink to sip on its own. But if you want to, it’s also easy to mix into various cocktails. It’s another budget drink but brings more bang than you’d think with its grassy, nutty, and floral taste.
It’s been around since 1997, but it’s only been recent that people are noticing this vodka. It has plenty of variations, but we still love the original Grey Goose. It claims to be gluten-free, and to be made with ingredients from various French regions. Plus, it only gets a single distillation process before bottling. Well, what we do know is that it tastes pretty awesome, and you should definitely try it out!
Who wants to mix dessert with alcohol? We do! That’s why Baileys Irish Cream is one of our favorite drinks. It will probably always be, with a delicious blend of aged Irish whiskey, fresh dairy cream, and sweet hints of chocolate and vanilla. Enjoy on its own or over ice. And for an additional twist, put Baileys on your coffee or vanilla ice cream – another reason to buy this booze!
If you’re an alcohol drinker, you don’t say no to a Johnnie Walker! Like a lot of the other brands on this list, this whisky has different variants. But if you only get to taste the classic Red one, you won’t have any regrets. This is, after all, the blend that helped this brand go global. You’ll enjoy the fruity and spicy aroma as well as the robust taste with notes of vanilla, spice, and malt.
Bacardi White Rum is another budget booze that can be drunk on its own or blended perfectly with plenty of other flavors to create new drinks. Of course, seeing that it’s budget booze, it won’t necessarily turn your world upside down. But it’s still a great mixer for various cocktails. It also makes for a great substitute for vodka.
10. The Macallan Double Cask 18
Who doesn’t love a nice cask-matured scotch whisky? Well, if you do, you’re probably already a fan of the Macallan brand. And you’ll be an even bigger fan once you taste this 18-year old version of its drink. It’s a perfect blend of honey, oak, spice, vanilla, and dried fruit. You’ll just taste the flavor with even one small sip. It’s pricey but in our opinion, definitely worth it.
